Meh! All a bit of hullaballoo for nothing mate. Hardly worth the calls to sack them. Maybe a fine and a slap on the wrist at most. Whats a bit of sticky tape really going to do to a ballOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostNothing in it?
It was such a contrived and premeditated attempt to cheat, the reaction is completely understandable.
Whats the frequency Kenneth!?! Got to check that white text"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

You'd think they'd wrapped gaffer tape on one side and had the thing swinging like an absolute muther****er the way people are going on about itOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostI'm not really fussed about the punishment, but I can understand the public and media reaction.
I see ol crybaby Broad is chiming in too. Ive never punched anyone before, but he has a face thats just dying to be punched."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Aussies taking a lead from Faf?Originally posted by Alex View PostSacking them is mental. But its cheating, so a ban is needed.
Of course its a big deal though. Why cant they play the game the same as the boys on the other team? Why do they feel like they can **** with the ball like that?

I think the thing here is they got caught and admit it. Throws open the question of how long they have been doing this for?
The punishment is important as it needs to act as a deterrent. 1 game isn’t much of a deterrent, given that they openly admit it.Modifying post.

Thought standing Smith and Warner down as captain and vice was fairly cowardly rather than them having to face the interviews after the match.
This is all on Lehman for me, he knew what was happening even sending the 12th man out to send the patsy a message to tell him he’s been caught on tv.
The fact it didn’t work is only really down to their ineptitude the intent was clearly there

Does make you wonder how long this has been going on, caught first time in the act, ok maybe but like the bloodgate stuff with Dean Richards and Harlequins I don’t really buy it.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

I thought the opposite with Smith. He fronted up to it instantly rather than running away.Originally posted by RichC View PostThought standing Smith and Warner down as captain and vice was fairly cowardly rather than them having to face the interviews after the match.

This will taint his reputation now for good. So that will be punishment enough for him going forward. People dont forget cheats.*Except Michael, who died.

He owned up mid game which was fair enough but the reprisals were obviously going to happen after the match of which he was nowhere to be seen; not saying that’s down to him of course more the ACB by the looks of itOriginally posted by Alex View PostI thought the opposite with Smith. Faf Du Plessis was rubbing the ball with siliva from a mint in his mouth to shine it up better. Bit of something and nothing.
Yeah maybe, that that feels like months ago now. But its ball tampering, what else should people be saying?
The level of outrage is about the same as when Broad didnt walk in the Ashes a couple of years ago. Actually its less because we dont have newspapers pretending the guy doesnt exist.
