All three pitches have been poor, but the umpiring has been equally bad also.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostAn opportunity to sell cricket to a whole new generation with a test series live on free to air tv.
Not sure they've done the job
England just add to that by being crap and not understanding how to play spin.
But I agree, 2/3 day test cricket is a bad advertisement.I make no apologies, this is me

That's part of the beauty of test cricket though. You're not sure what you're going to see. You could have an epic 5 day match that goes to the final afternoon or you could have a ripsnorter like yesterday that's finished inside two days.Originally posted by Deano View PostAll three pitches have been poor, but the umpiring has been equally bad also.

They will then go on to book tickets at the Oval on day 3 and see South Africa bat for an entire day, losing only one wicket and think... “what the ****”?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIt was pretty incredible viewing imo, I think any casual fan or a newbie to the sport would have been enthralled tbh.
Best day I ever saw was a 14 or so wicket day at Old Trafford. KP knocking his nails off when his helmet came off, loads of beer and we got into a row with a dwarf in the Hotel bar near Old Trafford

Fast and furious test cricket is always a winner.
A ‘I was there’ moment.Modifying post.
