This is disgraceful....
The England and Wales Cricket Board says it is "disappointed and sorry" a used pitch will be played on for the one-off Test between England and India.
The pitch that will be used at the County Ground in Bristol has already had 39 overs of men's Twenty20 cricket played on it on Friday night.
England captain Heather Knight said the situation was "unfortunate".
"It is not ideal and we would much rather be on a fresh one," Knight told BBC Sport.
The four-day red-ball match begins on Wednesday.
England found out about the situation last week and tried to get the pitch changed, but it was too late to prepare a fresh one.
"We know that England Women deserve a fresh wicket and we are sorry that we were unable to provide that in this instance," an ECB spokesperson said.
"With the Test only being added to the calendar in mid-April, coupled with the lack of available first class grounds, we knew a fresh TV pitch was going to be a challenge.
"We accept that this issue shouldn't have arisen and we will make sure it doesn't happen in the future."What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Fair play to NZ. Wouldn't have thought they'd be anywhere near the final when the championship was announced. Shows what mentality can do. Most of their players are pretty mediocre, but they play brave cricket and have been rewarded. Getting Conway and Jamieson in to compliment Williamson and Taylor will really help them moving forward. Although I doubt Taylor has too much left.
I agree fantastic player, the fact he's so slow means he probably won't pick up I injuries either. Not far off a world XI already. So awkwardly huge too.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostKyle Jamieson is some bowler. Future great imo.

I'm refusing to watch it. Ridiculous concept that is only played in this country, manufactured rivalries - I'll follow Lancs but you can get ****ed if you think I'm following Manchester... Sky will force it to works - T20 quarters not even being aired by them. BBC will lap it up as its live sport. Ffs, how 100 ball innings because 120 takes too long. **** off! Hate the concept. Hope it fails. Hope the money goes to the county game instead. Should be playing County champs in school hols with kids for a quid a day to boost attendanceFootball without Origi is nothing
