The format of this World Cup is ****.

There was so many 'meh' games during the huge group stage.

Smaller groups and then straight into several knockout rounds would inject some jeopardy into the competition.

I understand the commercial reasoning for the large group but it makes for a pretty disappointing product. Champions League is going to suffer in the same way
