Second innings cost us this match, Pope reverted back to type and nobody really other than Crawley got going (who also gave his wicket away).

Tough place to go and win series and some positives with Bashir and Hartley emerging but the batting and how we go about it at times needs to be looked at and what's the plan when Anderson finally gives up international cricket.

Is there a finer setting for a game of cricket than the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium?

      That backdrop is astounding

I see Australia have cut short Lyons contract, only 7 championship games - Poor guys, moved his family over for the entire year.

Yeah. Quite annoying so close to the start of the season. Hartley likely to be away with England too so will need to find a good replacement spinner.

These pitches are farcical. Pakistan struggling to chase 120 to win when they were 72 for 2 from 12. 30 for 4 off the last 7 overs

It is really poor in the opening stages. Not surprised some of the attendances look like a Thursday county championship game with a threat of rain.

Nepal managed to blow it v South Africa. Needed 34 off 8 overs with 8 wickets left fell one short on 114 so never even managed to tie

England bowler Robinson hit for 43 in historic over

                          How the historic over transpired

Ball 1: Kimber pulls Robinson away to backward square leg for six (6)

Ball 2: Robinson is dispatched to almost the same place, but this time for four - and it's a no-ball too (6nb)

Ball 3: Kimber swats away a bouncer to third man for four more runs (4)

Ball 4: A second six for Kimber, pulling way over the head of the backward square leg fielder (6)

Ball 5: Another swat to the square leg area for four (4)

Ball 6: Robinson is cut to the off-side boundary for a fourth four in the over - and the second no-ball - as Kimber brings up his century in style (6nb)

Ball 7: Not a full connection but Kimber finds a gap at mid-on for four (4)

Ball 8: Another no-ball is met with a stylish drive through cover for four (6nb)

Ball 9: Kimber with another pull but this time finds a fielder so it's only a single (1)

Am I reading that right? You get 2 runs for a no-ball, and a free hit as well? Seems excessive?

Also, what were the no-balls for, looked like his foot was behind the line? Encroaching on the wicket?

Yeah, domestic cricket is 2 for a no ball but fairly sure it is only front foot and height that have the free hit. The high bouncer is just a no ball

3 oversteps according to cricinfo. Batsmen hit a 127 ball 243. Was on 26 after 30 balls so effectively 221 off 97 in the county championship haha
