Pope and Crawley both done C&B. Trying to hit every bloody ball.

I couldn’t sleep and watched a bit through the night.
That Starc innings was exceptional. He played to hold on to the strike and to add time, turning down loads of easy singles to keep Boland off strike. He played with more discipline and control than most of the openers in the series so far.Modifying post.

Yeah, it was a great innings and taken the match and Ashes away from England. Youd have to say that the bowling from England wasn’t great but can’t complain they’ve been far better than England.
A few I wouldn’t mind seeing gone after this series starting with Pope who’s had so many chances over the years and the openers have to be under pressure.

Yeah this series is looking like an absolute to long for England as things stand. Cummins due back for the next test too.
No matter what position England get the Aussies into they cannot put them to the sword and the Aussies at home seem to thrive under pressure. England lack any sort of noise in playing the match position whatsoever. That pedal to the metal style just doesn’t suit all matches.
Also if Stokes isn’t in worldie form then England struggle. He is such a talisman.Modifying post.

I’m actually really annoyed at the England cricket team, as a Aussie. They have a ridiculously talented group of individuals who seem to **** the bed when things get difficult.
A tendency for self destruction among the batters (looking at you, Harry Brook) and a bad habit of losing line and length when the ball gets soft and it gets harder to take wickets.
This is a dad’s army of an Aussie team, and doesn’t have either Cummins or Hazelwood.
Very annoying they are 2-0 down instead of making this an epic Ashes series. These series need to be competitive in Australia if they are going to remain relevant

Australia 326-8
This will end up 5-0
Rob Key should be the first one sacked - the Arrogant ****
Then BM, then Stokes
We have the talent
Just not the mental fortitude

I am one of the few Irish people who probably like cricket although when I got married and had kids and I have had to be selective of what I can watch and cricket has suffered. I have been to test matches in India, Australia and one dayers in Ireland, India, Australia and England. In all sports I want England to fail and to fail miserably (sorry not sorryOriginally posted by Yozza View PostIt wont be though
), yet I guess I would consider myself a "fan" of England when it comes to cricket so I am torn seeing their inevitable demise vs my desire to see them suffer from an overall sporting perspective.
I always watch the Ashes though (as much as I can) and having spent a year in Australia and been called a ****ing pom so many times (even though they knew I was Irish) makes me dislike them probably even more than England when it comes to sport. They are such achievers when it comes to sport, the whole country is geared up for it but man does it make them insufferable. I'm happy they've gotten **** at Rugby Union and at least Ireland can beat them at that

Cricket in England feels like a proper old boys club. Correct school tie/face fits type of thing. There are players who have consistently underperformed but don't suffer for it. It feels like England are in the Hodgson era and need embarrassing failure for change to happenFootball without Origi is nothing

I can understand that, especially if you were called a pom. We aren't the most gracious winners, and absolutely whiny losers
That snicko on Carey was a shocking error though - reminded me of that VAR decision against us when we were playing Spurs a couple of years ago
