Managed a cross country 4.3km last night, the mud was ridiculous! Training for a marathon and a tough mudder at the same time is proving difficult!

I've been using some new insoles over th last few weeks. Sole DK Response. Of the shelf heat mouldable mutha****ers but they are great. Totally blast away the nagging plantar and achilles twinges I've been running through since last July. They are actually better than the magic foot doctor ones I had made up for me last year.

This is them for anyone who's interested http://www.yoursole.com/uk/mens/foot...ature-karnazes

And there is a 20% off code kicking about the net too
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Good stuff! I had my feet analysed at Intersport SportingPro shop and bought the heated mould ones they offered, they have a metal plate in the arch area to support you.

Only used them a couple of times on small runs at the moment, the real test will be the 10 plus miler tomorrow.

Good to hear others are recommended!

Has anyone tried going meat free for a period of time?

I'm used to having chicken, turkey mince, salmon, and pollock, but I'm thinking of cutting out meat due to the 'alleged' benefits, and replacing them with eggs, nuts, and cheese.

I love meat, and I can eat lots of it. When I don't eat meat, I feel hungry and light headed, so I'm interested to hear whether anyone else has made the switch?

I've been meat and booze free since the 1st but only for a monthly I am eating fish though. I'm not doing it for any other reason other than to see if I can but I have just started to notice I feel more awake in the evenings and less bloating.

I thick gloopy soup fills me up for ages. Last night I made veg fajitas without the chicken and a homemade seasoning & Day before spinach and chickpea curry. Tonight I've done a butternut squash soup with chilli for tomorrow while I roasted the other half and made a dhal curry which I'm putting the lumps of roasted squash in. It's ****ing delish . The squash roasted adds texture and could be a meat substitute I suppose but I really am not missing eating meat.
Lunch time is more challenging if you are on the go as supermarket sandwiches are horrid and taste like cardboard so I've found sushi and it's always on offer as no one buys it
I am surprised at how easy it's been. I'm struggling hard tonight on the alcohol front but I'm not giving in
