I'm giving it a shot at the moment, and it's pretty hard to stick to. As part of the diet you're allowed one day a week where you can eat whatever you want so that you don't ruin your metabolism.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostHmm, I'd be ok with cutting out the grains, but I'd really miss dairy and fruit, and well sugar
I'm not sure how long I could keep that up for.
If I just greatly reduce my carb intake (almost completely cutting out all grains for example), but still kept the rest of my diet roughly the same (I'd still cut out most fatty foods), would I still lose some weight?
I've not got tons to lose, maybe about a stone, so I'm happy to lose it gradually. My most pressing concern is sorting out these stomach pains.
I've come from having carbs every meal (pasta, bread, etc) and lots of chocolate and coke, to now never eating grains and drinking a lot less coke, whilst still having the odd cheat food (which unfortunately includes beer), and I've noticed a slight difference, but nothing pronounced.
I'm only 80kg and 6'3 so I'm not going to be getting huge losses.

Another thing I'd just started trying is cold showers, which have a range of health benefits including fat loss, increased testosterone, improved immune system, as well as being good for your hair, skin and circulation.
It's torture for the first couple of seconds but gets better quite quickly and after almost a week of doing it I look forward to having a cold shower because of the kick it gives you.

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

from Alex's post;
4) Difficult to Digest
Apart from being mucus forming, gluten is also very difficult to digest. Some sources say that wheat is so challenging for our bodies that it takes four weeks to digest one wheat meal such as pasta.
surely anything not digested just gets shat out
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Whether all the benefits are legitimate or not, I know what you're saying. Either way, you feel great after having a cold shower, and that's enough to justify it for me, regardless of other possible benefits.

try switching to gluten free bread. they actually make some good ones now.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostCheers, after just a few days without bread I'm already starting to feel a bit better, stomach pains have reduced without a doubt.
I think when I really have the urge to have some bread I will try to use pita or tortilla instead.dave of mutilation
