Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

I forgot McGuigan. I was only a kid but I watched plenty of his fights. Loved him, what a warrior. Have vivid memories of his fight v Eusebio Pedrosa and of course Steve Cruz.

                  Lennox Lewis

First boxing memories really are of him coming up as a youngster. Especially when he beat Bruno. I remember staying up with my Dad to watch it.

                  Prince Naseem

Thought he was a fantastic showman, that entrance alone Lightening fast.

                  Joe Calzaghe

Retired undefeated and beat everyone put in front of him. Maybe not the level of Mayweather or Ali. But should go down as a great.
                  *Except Michael, who died.

Hard narrowing it to 3 for me, the top one for me is undisputed though

                    1 - Calzaghe

This one against Byron Mitchell was the fight that got me completely hooked on him - nobody has come close to being this exciting to watch. Best ever for me!

                    2 - Lennox Lewis

Heavyweight fighting has never recovered from him retiring. I loved the Rahman return fight. He didn't take him seriously first time around and destroyed him in the return.

3 - Any one of Chris Eubank (he made that division - they all hated him so raised their game to beat him, but mostly couldn't), Naseem Hamed (arrogant and insanely fast, fun to watch) Barry McGuigan (I remember nobody being out and about in the town I'm from when he fought Pedrosa - it was a ghost town, everyone was in watching!) Frank Bruno (sure he was **** at the top level, but it was fun watching him - it was communal!)

Yep Bruno was great. Had some good fights and KOs. He was quite robotic but he outboxed most of his opponents and had a wicked ramrod jab. I think he gets a bad rap and isn't remembered as fondly as he should be - or at least taken as seriously as he should be. I remember his losses to Witherspoon and Bonecrusher Smith. Heartbreaking. I watched him win the world title against McCall in a pub in London and it was ****ing epic. Amazing atmosphere.

Loved a bit of Eubank but he was never the same after the Watson fight.

Yep, he was always holding back. I loved how he played heel though and lapped up the crowd whether they were booing him or cheering him. That smirk and side on stance when he'd hit his gloves together just before the fight always made me laugh.

Aye I loved Eubank, Benn and Watson. What a time to be into boxing.

Good point Dan7 about everyone watching McGuigan. Like all fights back then, the Benn/Watson/Eubank fights were all live on ITV and it seemed ****ing everybody was watching. Satellite/PPV TV has really damaged boxing (and football, and cricket).
