His workout ... which I have been doing for awhile.. its ****ing awesome

    Thruster
    Sets: 5
    Repetitions: 5
    Rest: 90 seconds
Expert’s Opinion: "It’s a good exercise to strengthen the hips, lower back, hamstring as well as abdominal muscles. However, the sets of five could be a bit too much for beginners above 50," says Mehta.

    Sumo dead lift high pull

    Sets: 5
    Repetitions: 5
    Rest: 90 seconds
Expert’s opinion: "As we age, the release of growth hormones reduce, which causes loss in muscle mass. Dead lift is one of the best exercises to strengthen legs and release growth hormones. But the chances of injuries are also high. Hence, this exercise must be done under close supervision of a trainer. The number of sets depend on the fitness level and experience of a person," informs Mehta.

    Power clean
    Sets: 5
    Repetitions: 5
    Rest: 90 seconds
Expert’s Opinion: "Usually, we do not recommend this exercise to those above 50. The chances of jerking their shoulders and getting injuries are very high in this exercise," reminds Mehta.
    Upper Body Exercises

After successful completion of all the three powerful lifts — Sumo dead lift, Thruster and Power clean — Penn would focus on at least one body part with these isolation station-based exercises for four sets of ten repetitions each for a muscular upper body.

    Shoulders
    >> Military press: This builds strong front and rear deltoids and works the core throughout.
    >> Reverse fly: This helps balance and strengthen the often overlooked and under-stimulated rear deltoids.

    Chest
    >> Incline dumbbell fly: This helps develop your upper pecs and gives the chest a fuller, muscular look.
    >> Dip: This works the triceps and front deltoids.
    >> Press-up: The classic press-up is amazing for chest and triceps development.

    Triceps

    >> Cable pull-down: Aims for full flexion and extension of the upper arm.
    >> Half dip: This exercise targets the triceps.

    Biceps
    >> Standing cable curl: The classic standing bicep curl helps to achieve fuller arms.
    >> Preacher curl: This helps hammer the biceps to the limit.
I think the fags probably help keep the weight off too.

Resurrecting this cos pleased with myself.

Not able to train 6 times a week plus swims no more sadly cos I work outta town. So doing mega sessions as weekend despite being hungover usually & some kettlebell work at home.

          Anyways new PBs:

          Shoulderpress (strict):
          3x82.5K
          2x85K
          1x87.5K
          15x60K

          Squat
          2x165K
          1x171K.

Both singles had a bit to spare so reckon am good for 89K & 175K respectively. Life goals are 90 & 180.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I've just got started back into it after a long lay off. My problem is I can't do anything at all with leg's, my knees are utterly ****ed, so upper body only.

Been fathing about for a few weeks slowly getting used to it again, but got my gym set-up and knocked this out 7 days straight last week for a boost, will now cut down to 3 times a week:
            Bench press
            Dumbell shoulder press
            Seated press
            Pec dec
            Pull downs
            Seated row
            Push downs
            Upright row
            Barbell curl
Hammer curls if there's anything left in the tank.

Not really looking to build mass or owt daft, just make my muscles hurt so they'll burn some extra calories.

              You're a strong mother****er

I haven't done any weights for almost 3 weeks . back injury and now a house move. Hoping to get back into it soon, probably next week.

I want to do weights again.

I've put on so much weight recently but I've been trying to correct a rounded back and condition my legs to stretch more (squat) so hopefully I'll be in better shape to get back into it.

                For the record, I'm 112kg (17.6 stones)

                  I'm 124kg :/

Was 137kg when I started. Fatty liver and pre-diabetes wake up call. Been this big before, dropped to 105 in 4 months but did it in an unsustainable way and fell off, doing it hopefully smarter this time.

Saw a dietitian which was massively helpful, my idea of dietting was cutting out too much and causing me to crave junk food.

Losing it just as fast but not really getting the cravings.

                      Cheers man.

I'm 185cm. 102kg drops me out of obese, 85kg to healthy. Dietician reckons just focus on 100 for now, as long as you're not in obese and regularly exercising BMI is over egged.

I am a broad shouldered big chested guy naturally so do question validity of BMI somewhat when brackets no different for me than it is for a beanpole so will see how I feel at 100.

I'm 195cm and not broad shouldered (skinny fat actually!). I'd like to get to 85kg.

Glad to see so many still training or thinking about it if they can’t currently.

I’m 169cm & 90K. Probs about 22% bodyfat cos I’ve been drinking far too much of late again. Am just too sociable.

**** BMI, don’t work when you are a small cube. I’d be an obeser like Seige :candle:
