He didn't seem emphatic at all on KP. He was talking about the future and that who knows what will happen, but that any relationship needs to be rebuilt. Though it was prone to interpretation.
Alec Stewart gave a great interview, he would have been a cracking addition, but seems like the ECD wouldn't have wanted him to run the team the way Stewart wanted to (which was with complete clarity). Stewart would also have wanted to be able to pick whoever he wanted.
I don't see why they had to be so emphatic.
They should have told KP, that 'for now there was not a position for him in the team, that may change over the summer, but that the ECB would not feel comfortable having him make decisions on a position in the team that may not materialise'.

Clearly KP has put some toff noses out of joint with his shooting from the hip style. Thats the issue.
