Honors pretty much even. Think it's going to be a facinatinhg 2 1/2 days.

Really wish we could have had a longer series with these. Always the same. 2 great tests and then nothing for 2 years. Instead we get the Aussies AGAIN! 15 tests against Australia since we last played NZ in a Test match.

I agree, the ashes are so often now some of the mystique is lost. If you lose them, you only wait 6 - 12 months for a chance to reclaim. A 5 test series v NZ looks like it could have been fascinating.

NZ are incapable of playing test cricket, so I guess this is the best way they can go about it. Taylor has been good though, he hasn't been reckless but has somehow managed 30 from only 15 deliveries. Good player him.

The way the pitch is playing though, it could be the right tactic to get as many as you can before you inevitably get a good one.
