I think we'd be slightly ahead if Jos hadn't got out, but I think the Aussies will be pretty happy to have lost the toss and be 7 wickets to the good. Still think we need 400 to put them under pressure but 375/380 keeps us in the game.

They were talking about the most recent scores at Cardiff being something like 270/310/280. So its not a big scoring ground. 400 seemed to suprise everyone.

I guess its the old adage that you cant tell what a good score is until both teams have batted.

Yea, for Glamorgan games recently. It was Aggers and Swann talking about it I think?

Still, Root I don't get why people want to burden him with captaincy when he is doing so well. Also, I wish Cook would stop trying to be a modern batsman, when I like him it is always because he seems like a sort of captain America - clearly out of his natural time but ace at what he does nonetheless.

              Not really relevant then.

You're right about not knowing a good score till both sides have had a bat though.

I'm assuming that by walking he was just trolling the Aussies.

All out for 430. Seems a decent score considering where we were at one point and there does look like some swing at the moment.
