Thanjk you.

Always good to see the Aussies get smacked, struggling to get in to this though, dunno why, too much ashes or some of the England team being back stabbing vermin probably.
I can't ever remember being less up for it going into an Ashes and it's definitely the overkill, just too much of it. And I can't abide Broad, although he bowled brilliantly today.
Enjoyed this Test though.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
He's the most punchable in the English side for sure.

Hardly surprising. My Old man loves Cricket but won't pay for Sky Sports. Must be a lot more doing the same.
It's a shame it's gone for money rather than viewers. The less people watch, the less will be inspired. It'll keep like that until some tests get back to free to air TV. Highlights don't cut it for me.

I posted about this on another message board when the ECB sold out to Sky after the 2005 triumph, it was obvious what would happen. ECB would have its coffers filled, the figures would be perfectly acceptable for a couple of years and then a falloff would start to become apparent. I'm a cheapskate so watch the C5 highlights package and TMS on BBC Radio 4 in the winter. The idea of paying SKY for it is alien!
As a Scot - I'd never have gotten into cricket if it hadn't been on free to air back in the 90's.
That's the bit they miss, SKY obviously are happily fleecing the existing lovers of cricket - but how many kids won't get into it due to the fact they haven't experienced it live on TV?
Lack of free to air cricket is killing the sport though. It's massively short sighted by the ECB, still if nobody is watching then maybe sky won't want to lay so !uch money for it and then BBC or CH4 (who's coverage was great) would be interested again.
