    Baseball thread.

    Congrats to the Chicago Cubs.

A 108 year wait for them to win the World Series, finally getting rid of the 'Curse of the Billygoat'.

I know almost nothing about Baseball (rounders with gloves?) but this was quite a story.

That is literally all that could ever be said about Baseball. So shall I just lock the thread?

I'm quite intrigued by why someone took a goat to a baseball match 100 years ago... but other than that I don't see this thread gaining mutch traction.

Tried to watch once when it was on ESPN and it was just some guy throwing a ball in to the wicket type keeper persons hand, like every time coz the batsman couldnt hit anything. And no crowd noise, everyone just sitting there smashing down giant hot dogs. It's a really weird sport!

Back to the future 2 was only 1 year out. Predicted the cubs to win the world series in 2015. Not a bad guess.

And future Biff was inspired by Donald Trump.

              Oh I don't know.

                I ****ing love Baseball.

Fantastic battle of wills and wits.

Maintain that going to a game is one of the best sporting experiences.

World Series: Boston Red Sox beat Los Angeles Dodgers to win ninth title

                    29 Oct

Boston Red Sox beat Los Angeles Dodgers to win ninth title
The Boston Red Sox clinched their ninth World Series with two games to spare when they beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 at Dodger Stadium on Sunday.
Steve Pearce was named the Series' Most Valuable Player after hitting two home runs in the decisive victory.
Mookie Betts and JD Martinez also scored home runs as the Red Sox took the best-of-seven Major League Baseball final 4-1.
"You grow up wishing you could be part of something like this," said Pearce.
"This has been a lifelong journey. To be here right now is a dream come true."
The Red Sox won a franchise record and MLB best 108 games during the 162-game regular season and continued that domination in the World Series to win a fourth title in 15 years.
Having also lost the 2017 final to Houston, the Dodgers' wait for a first World Series since 1988 continues.
Their only victory in this year's showpiece came after they won the longest game in World Series history to make it 2-1, only to lose the following two matches.
"There's only one team that can win and we know that, but it just hurts worse when you make it all the way and get second place,"
