Thanjk you.

I'm sure he'll not make excuses, but he was definitely carrying an injury there. He could barely serve and didn't seem to be able to chase balls down the way he typically does.
I reckon Andy is going to have to bin the French Open if he wants to win Wimbledon. No coincidence that of the Big 4, the only one to progress was Roger who sat out Roland Garros.
Now that Andy is 30, tournament slection will be crucial. **** the rankings.
Hope Jo Konta wins - though I hadn't appreciated she ms only been British for 5 years. She's mastered the Sloaney accent pretty quickly.
What I think is interesting is that Federer is mid 30's, hes come back from major injury but his performance levels have not started to dramatically reduce. I think because the bulk of his game is sheer technique (well artistry really)
Nadals game is all about power and both Murray & Djokovic's biggest assets are their return and courtspeed
I guess what I am saying is that players who dont rely as much on physical abilities (but more on skill and technique) wont experience large dropoffs in their levels as they age
Its the same with Gerrard & Dalglish analogies. For me Kennys level kept very high even towards the end because he didnt rely on pace to effect the play, whereas Gerrard who relied a lot on pace and power saw a dramatic drop off in performance
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
That's a good point, and one that both Murray and Djokovic should take note off. Nasal is a good template for them. He also took time out to sort his knees, and came back to win the French.
The level of Djokovic and Murray over the last few years allied to the gruelling nature of tennis, throw in both turning 30 makes these injuries not massively surprising.
Murray went hard out to get to number one in the world. I think this is the result.
I'll be shocked if we see Andy or Novak on court much over the next few months.
