We could be seeing something special in the final - hopefully it is Nadal v Federer with Fed winning in 5!
At times last night Federer was exceptional, but then he started playing some very ordinary tennis as well! Perhaps he is starting to get a little tired.

Not sure if anyone saw his post match interview with Courier, but once again Federer showed his class, and it's so easy to see why he is so many people's sporting idol!

I think Rafa will beat Dimitrov who is occupyinh nosebleed territory tournament wise. The upset (in terms of what everyone wants) could be Stan beating Roger. A Roger Rafa final would be great though.

Konta despatched fairly simply by Serena, but she seems to be on an upward career trajectory so her day may come.

Stan if he's on his game could certainly beat Federer, depends which player turns up on the day really.

Murray wise, it is good to see him contemplating missing the Davis Cup. He should miss it definitely.

I think he needs to be a lot more strategic in his tournament choices (i.e., he can't play all of them!). He must be at a point in his career when Slams count more than rankings, and as this draw would have played out the number one ranking didn't really do him any favours.

Stan is a good example of a player who doesn't kill himself for ATP Masters titles, yet shows up well in majors. Obviously Murrays numbers are skewed due to the sheer volume of Slam Final defeats, but I think for Andy, the next few years needs to be all about the Slams and less about the tour.

Stan wil be gutted. Herculean effort to get back into it, and then gives Roger the 5th in fairly straight forward fashion.
