I like Ian Bell, but last time I looked he was averaging something like 26 this season. I'm not sure he's what's needed.

What I don't understand is why the technique of these players is so poor - WTF have they been coached in the course of their careers?

Hmm from dipping in and out we've been pretty ordinary. I still think we can win if we bowl them out for another 50 - 75 but it doesn't bode well for the winter.

Not a great bowling performance but better progress with the bat this afternoon.

Not sure what the highest last innings winning score is at Headingley (unless it was the game that Mark Butcher got a big 100 in v the Aussies - have a vague idea that might have been there) but another 230+ and we should be in with a pretty good shout of winning.

If these two bat the majority of the overs the West Indies should win. If England get one or two wickets the other two results are on the cards. These two have looked comfortable, but we know wickets can fall in bunches.

Huge wicket for England. Brathwaite really deserved a hundred. Unlucky for him. WI need to be careful here. They could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory if England start gaining some momentum here. Plenty a side much better than them on much better wickets have been bowled out in a session.
