I don't think that Malan and Westley are upto test standard. Malan could probably be a good limited overs player but seems lacking in the whites. I'm pretty surprised that Bairstow hasn't been moved up the order. If he bats at 5 you guys could add an all rounder or a different keeper. Or even more shockingly give Ali a chance to bat higher up. It's madness that he's sitting at 8 when the middle order is so soft haha. He's clearly bitter and twisted about it too.

These two innings are sadly seemingly a trend in cricket at the moment. 3 day tests are fast becoming a reality as batting long durations in challenging conditions or/and against a good attack is seemingly impossible. I was impressed with what the West Indies did in the last match but that seems to be an anomaly.

He also has a brilliant knack of annoying batsmen. I remember during one particular Ashes series he would refer to Mike Hussey as Dave, his brother.

When he saw him in the morning, it'd be: "Morning Dave." After a delivery: "Shot, Dave." Mid-innings: "Keep going, Dave."

Eventually, Hussey snapped and replied: "I'm not Dave. I'm Mike."
