    I like him.

I can’t comment on the assault, have absolutely no idea if there is any merit so won’t cast judgement.

He will be a breath of fresh air in a final, similar to Agassi and if he can be forgiven for becoming getting into Meth then Kygrios can be forgiven for being petulant early in his career.

I suspect the occasion will be too much for him if it’s Djokovic, it will be a box office final whom ever he faces - that I will miss as we are in France just now

The police department that arrested and charged him seems to think so and are keen for it to get to court.

Not only is he up in court next month to see if he gets convicted/sentenced for assaulting a woman, there is also a lot of talk about some underage stuff making it to the courts after this case.

Apparantlty the evidence in the assualt case is as clear cut and obvious as that which got Greenwood caught.

Baffles me how him and others in sport like him get lauded as some sort of great lads who puts up two fingers to the establishment.

Can think of a number of boxers and MMA guys who have come out with openly racist, homophobic and xenophobic stuff (and no not actually thinking of Tyson Fury this time in case Spud Gun comes at me with a shiv ) and people trip over themselves to call them great guys who say it like it is.

You go after those weaker than you, or with less of a public voice than you in a racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic or xenophobic manner then you are cowardly scum.

You go laying your hands on women or children and you are scum.

Usually these pricks have very think skins as well when anything is said back to their faces.

Cult of personality my ****ing arse.

Worth celebrating just to imagine the utter froth the purists are in right now.

He's got plenty of people watching tennis who wouldn't normally watch it. In a sport full of clones and robots that's got to be a good thing.

Anyone else get Gregory's Girl vibes off Sinner?

Sinner's groundstroke strength is his two-handed backhand, which he hits with more topspin than any other player on the ATP Tour, registering an average of 1858 revolutions per minute on the shot to go along with a fifth-best average speed of 111.2 kilometres per hour (69.1 mph)

    Double break!

Sinner has been brilliant in this match since being broken right at the start of the first set.
