    Your favourite Olympic Sport

    Either to watch or play.

I love watching the swimming personally as it’s usually neck & neck at the finish which is great drama. Plus the Aussies are bloody good at it so it usually means lots to celebrate.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I quite like watching badminton. An inexpensive game, that just about anyone can go and play, and then you watch the world's best in action and it takes your breath away. The speed they play at, the reaction times on defending a smash, the court management, it's brilliant.

I used to love badminton at school. I was never the most athletic kid but I was king of the court. Never really played it since school.

I tend to enjoy the field sports most. And for some reason I've never quite understood I enjoy the diving. Usually I hate the aesthetic events, its more akin to dancing.

A real sport doesn't need a judge to say how pretty it was.

Pretty sure we won’t see that one in Paris but yeah it’s a great watch. I was hoping to get a go when in Whistler Canada 2 years ago but out of season unfortunately.

Only Olympic sport I pay attention to is the boxing.

Aoife O'Rourke, Kelly Harrington (our main hope as she is simply excellent), Dean Walsh and Jack Marley being our best shouts for medals.

Though Jennifer Lehane may well prove to be a dark horse. Very very talented boxer who boxes at a level that makes a mockery of the short span of time she has been in the ring given she only took up boxing five or so years ago when she went to uni.

Watched her spar a few times and she is a hard working quick fighter with an excellent defence.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Ah, it will be the swimming & boxing for me with the gymnastics/athletics occasionally.
                Anything else is bollocks.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Up until last year I played badminton weekly for about 4 years. Our group are all aged 50-60 and it is a really decent workout, little impact, lots of stretching and never affected by the weather.

                  I miss it

Surprised no one has said the football. Does anyone know what the exhibition sport is for these games?

Breaking is one, which I can only assume is break dancing?

The others are skateboarding, sport climbing, BMX freestyle, surfing and 3on3 basketball.

I know surfing has been included in the past but not sure where & skateboarding would be a good watch too & one that has possibly been included before too. BMX is interesting & the 3 on 3 too but break dancing

My son used to be into his skateboarding big time, as I too was back in the 70’s. The bowls that they ride nowadays are insane & the tricks they pull off in the street discipline are nuts.
