    English sport - hard times

Thrashed in the first test at cricket, home draw v Macedonia and defeat in Croatia in football, defeat after defeat in rugby union, heavy losses in rugby league, tell me there's a corner coming up.
At least our darts players continue to thrive.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

The future you have, tomorrow, won't be the same future you had, yesterday.

England have been ****e for years. And no one is ever bothered really. The English never get all wound up about sports like other countries do. And they certainly don't stick up for sports people who are **** but are English. There won't be many folk bothered that England are losing at cricket, or that the rugger team is rubbish. We take a bit of notice if they've won something but not much.

It speaks volumes that our most successful sportsperson plays darts.
          I live with Steptoe.

That's true. i could never cheer on or stick up for an Englishman who plays for Man Utd or Everton like other nations can just because they're English.
