Adil Rashid has been called up to the England A squad to tour Bangladesh. This 18 year old lad is a Yorkshire leg spinner who broke into the first team towards the end of last season.
I think he could be the answer to our spin problems in this country if his talent is properly nurtured.
He can bat a bit too, 114 against India U19 plus 8 for 157 in the same match.
6 wickets on debut against Warwickshire.
He just needs to add a bit more variation to his bowling but there's plaenty of time for that. He's got 2 years ahead of him to perfect a sharp turning perfectly pitched leg spinner, then he can work on variations.
There are a lot of very good young players around at the moment, Bell, Cook, S. Broad, Rashid.

great news
Broad has a great future ahead of him
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
Believe that when I see it. They said the same about Ian Salisbury
Totally different class. salisbury had no consistency whatsoever basically because he was a medium pacer who decided late in his development that he was a poor medium pacer who could turn his wrist over. So he took up leg spin.
He was never the real deal.
Rashid RIPS it across the wicket. He has so much potential and in the right hands he will be a world class spinner. The sooner he gets a central contract the better for England. I'm not sure I trust Yorkshire with his development.
You will see it Dan

Well they couldn't stop him if he wanted to but there's no money on earth that could tempt Warne to help England IMO
The good thing about Adil being at Yorkshire is he'll get plenty of bowling in. Their squad is decimated for the coming season. Hopefully he'll stay injury free.
