Snooker - Ronnie's Demons Are Back!

    O'Sullivan quits UK quarter-final

Ronnie O'Sullivan has conceded his quarter-final match in the UK Championships to Stephen Hendry in dramatic fashion.

The former world champion trailed 4-1 to the Scot but led 24-0 in the sixth frame before walking out of the arena after playing a bad shot.

    More soon.

Yeah, seen that about 5 minutes ago on BBC Sport, troubled man is Ronnie, very sad to see.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Don't know where you get that from PC4

His dad's in jail for murder, pretty hard thing to cope with as a young lad.
He's clearly got mental health problems specifically depression.

To me he's one of life's tormented geniuses. He is a snooker genius, all his contemporaries admit that, but he only gets any pleasure out of the game if he is playing well. He puts too much pressure on himself and if it isn't happening for him he just loses his cool and throws his teddies.
He needs to grow up but perhaps the reason he hasn't quite matured is because his dad has been locked up for so long. He's been let down by his father and if you're close then that's a tough thing to get over.

I'm not making excuses for him, but the man clearly needs help.

I have got a mate that went to school with him. The word is that his farther took the blame for something that he did so he could carry on and make something of his life, hence the pressure.

Probably a seperate incident, Ronnie's dad was as guilty as it gets for the original offence.

That is the story knocking around Romford. It would explain his "Deamons" though.

What did his Dad do to end up in Jail anyway?
