it's not about being rascist or PC - the question i should've asked is - do we want to look like a bunch of inbred rednecks to a gorup of people many on here are paractically begging to buy LFC. Plus it wasn't very funny.

I can't see how anyone has been 'pc' when responding in this thread really and I think that's a term thrown around far too easily these days. There's one person who thinks it's 'insulting' but hasn't really gone opverboard so fair enough.

I think the main reason it's got slated is because it's been created with the assumption that all jokes regarding muslims and sharia law must be funny because they're contentious issues at the moment. That's the offensive part because the article lacks any real wit or humour.

My comment was nothing to do with offensive, political correctness or anything else... it just wasn't funny

don't want this to descend into a debate on political correctness gone wrong nor blowing it out of proportion. i just found it not really funny and because it wasnt funny, people could think the intent of it was an insult. If it was hilarious and therefore obviously a joke then everyone can (and should) laugh at it. I don't doubt that you're not racist mate and I'm not personally offended. Just thought you were on dodgy ground.
