3 men in a hotel..........

3 men go into a hotel looking for a room for the night. the hotel manager charges them £30. So, they each pay£10 and go up to the room. The manager then remembers the special deal that they had on that night- any room for £25. So he sends the bell-hop up to the room with £5 change. However the 3 men cant divide the £5 between the 3 of them so they each take £1 and give the 2 left over to the bell-hop as a tip.

Now, because they origionally paid £10 but got £1 back, in actuall fact, they paid £9.
3 x 9 =27
plus the £2 tip =29.
Where did the other £1 go?

I googled the answer to preserve my sanity.

They didn't pay £9 each they paid £25 divided by three so £8.33 each. £8.33 times 3 plus the £1 each they got back plus the £2 tip = £30, easy.

It's just a blag mate. This bit is bollocks:

They didn't get £1 back each, they got £5 back between them so its £25 split between 3. They also gave £2 away so it adds up.

I really need a life.
