I doubt it. Surely most people have their e-mails sorted with latest received at the top of the list. Therefore were they to go through them on return to the office they would go through them/delete them in the opposite order they were received.

when i left my last job - i turned my out of office on and wrote

"Thanks for emailing me, but fortunatley for me i have now left the company to kickstart my career. If you could please forward any queries to *****@*****.co.uk and i'm sure they will deal with it

haha the email address I put in was the gay team leader who did my ****ing head in!!! - i did **** all the week before i left and left loads of people with problems and queries etc outstanding.

The IT people were pretty slow and didn't remove me from the email server for about two weeks. Played footie with a lad from the company a few weeks after i left and they were pissing themselves sayin everyday this gay team leader was going mad as he was just receiving loads of complaints from customers saying i hadn't responded, they emailed me again and seen i had left the company etc etc!!!!!
