Russell Howard Joke - on an old Mock the Week

Watching an old Mock the Week on sky last night, and Russell Howard made a joke which I thought was brilliant, it went something along the lines of -

"So my mum bought a jacuzzi, and I was in there along with my father and my sister, when my mother decided it would be the ideal moment to say -

'Guess what everyone in this jacuzzi has in common?

Everyone in this jacuzzi has sucked on my tits.'

Another Mock the Week joke, Frankie Boyle is a legend....

Remember years ago when they were making Braveheart? Everyone was saying, "Oh, its ridiculous; Mel Gibson playing a Scottish guy? That's not going to be very convincing!"

But take a look at him now: an alcoholic Racist!

Frankie Boyle is clearly the funniest one on the show.

He also said last night, under the guise of "Things the queen would never say."

I remember Russell Howard's joke. He is part of the neo-comedy scene right now which makes jokes about 'taboo' subjects and that the old comedians frown upon like Ronnie Corbett and Jimmy Tarbuck.

The one who is best on the show is Andy Parsons. If you watch Frankie Boyle live, its the same material as the Mock the Week stuff and he used to write for Jimmy Carr which ultimately put me off.

A lot of them use the same material, its VERY difficult to come up with new stuff all the time, I used to be a member of lovefilm.com, and they sent me the entire Lee Evans DVD archive one after the other.. the shared jokes did spoil it a bit for me. But its life, its what happened.


Went to see Dara O'Briain in March, that was excellent, cos I've never seen him do any standup, just Mock the Week presenting, so it was all new stuff to us (Also, we were already pissed cos Wales had just won the 6 Nations, Triple Crown, and Grand Slam )

A comedian who doesn't use the same material: Ross Noble. Wacky character he is on his tangents but brilliant. Bill Bailey is good as well.

I'm not a fan of Andy Parsons either.....

I quite like the guy who was on "My Hero" he did an excellent piss take of Price Philip once..
