Bender, I know that roundabout and it isn't signposted like that. It's on the A4174, Filton Road and the driver has probably just been to Matalan..

I think that's unlikely, Bender. If so there would be a build-up of traffic in the area which would quickly tailback to junction 1 of the M32 (click Google Maps link below). However, as you can see (see image underneath the link), the traffic camera for that junction shows traffic is flowing freely in both directions.

I don't what sort of pup you're trying to sell us here mister but it looks like a scam to me..
