Get a step ladder. You won't need to go farOriginally posted by Paul.S View PostOh man, I'd need a piss every 5 minutes in that bed!"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

I cannot comprehend how so many human beings could be that evil to their fellow man. It's not just the numbers of dead but the suffering they obviously went through leading up to itOriginally posted by Kenneth View Post
On this theme I recently came across a series of photographs of WWII and the holocaust in particular, mostly taken by the US army as it liberated a number of concentration camps. They are amongst the most harrowing things I have ever seen, a vision of the worst that human beings are capable of. In Europe, barely 70 years ago. I'm not posting this link for entertainment, they are profoundly moving images and discretion is advised:

Fascinating subject, the Nazi movement, all the same...........books from Laurence Rees and Ian Kershaw's biographies on Hitler are brilliant and insightful dissections on how a society can gravitate towards such men.Originally posted by Stanbull View PostI cannot comprehend how so many human beings could be that evil to their fellow man.
