As far as I remember (might have read it or heard it on a commentary track), it's actually a 'normal' shot scene of Elly running up the stairs and down the corridor, which was then flipped around and then combined in the completed scene with the mirror used as, effectively, a blue-screen to composite the shot.
Very impressive scene, which almost goes unnoticed by most people watching the movie until it's pointed out that it would be impossible to shoot practically.
