Nearly happened to me that, had just come along a stretch of road in an early Cavalier Sri at stupid speed got on to the estate i was off to, pulled up and the front left of the car dropped down, got out, and found that the wheel had completely come off, nuts still attached! with the wheel arch now resting on the tyre holding the car up.

It had been squeaking for a while tbf.

My lucky day.
