Ouch. Shame, that will be mighty tough for them. Would like to see them at the World Cup.

wasn't there a big kick off that there was nothing in the rulings about seedings for the play offs and it was going to be randomly drawn, and once fifa(blatter) realised that france/portugal/germany were all going to be in the play offs and could potentially get tough draws and not qualify they swiftly decided to seed the teams :haha: don't u just love fifa

it was undecided, but as soon as they realised they could have a world cup without france, portugal/c. ronaldo, germany/or millions pouring into SA from russian oligarghs they priviliged the top teams once again
good news is that we haven't lost a match against the russians and long may it continue:D

Not best pleased with the draw.
Wanted Portugal or Greece. Playing the first leg in Dublin isn't ideal either.
On paper the French should murder us, but they also have to deal with the Domenech effect, which gives us more than a fighting chance.

If you can come so close to beating the world champs then I see no reason why you can't beat the french

Maybe. We'll wait and see. I'm just not convinced we have enough to match France over two legs. Their individual quality is bound to show at some stage.

We shouldn't have anything to fear against the French. Granted, we may not be the best team in the world but we went unbeaten in our group and drew twice with the World Champions. France aren't any better than Italy.
If we have our first choice eleven fit for both games we stand a good chance.

But I think that with the second leg in France the French will edge it, especially as their big players will turn up knowing a world cup spot is on the line.
