I think LA is paying him but also AEG and Adidas are paying a big part of the contract. Only thing that pisses me off is now I have to deal with seeing Man Utd, Chelsea and Galaxy jerseys everywhere now

Mucky, is that you?
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

A drunk chick one night told me I looked like Radar from MASH. She did it in front of my mates and I still get **** for it 10 years later
I'd always imagined you to be about 6'5", running to fat and wearing a baseball hat.
Hang on, that's Michael Moore.

anyone think the 250M to make him the highest ever is just a way of promoting football in the USA. Loads of amercians will want to see what's the fuss about.
great quote on radio 1 yesterday
think its good move for him, few years time he might make it into films and has a good chance to be as successfull as Vinnie Jones
beckham wont do much to further the game in the US imo. They younger generations have grown up playing it and only recently have they been able to watch it with the FSC and Goltv starting to show quality games. It will continue to grow on its own, the majority of young people in the US enjoy watching English football, La Liga and CL much more than the MLS and having Beckham in the showpiece side of the league will not persuade many people to watch. initially people will watch for the spectacle but no one likes **** football and thats all MLS has to offer really. it chaps my ass that beckham is moving there under the pretense of 'football reasons' bollox hes just following the trail of the almighty dollar.
no matter what you think it will still be hilarious to watch golden balls get the runaround from no names
what if he gets injured in his first game, and his carreer is over? after signing a five year $250m contract?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
