Hello Tinker, nice to see you around.

I'm talking to myself because I often do - age and living alone does that to one...

I think FC Wacker Tirol deserves a wider fan base. The club name is fantastic. As for Karl Silly, Bernard Windy and the mysterious Specki...

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        Hehehe. Understandable.
Every Native speaker loves the name Wacker Tirol.
It's actually a pretty common name for local football teams too - it means "brave"

This has been a bizarre Bundesliga season actually - Wacker are doing really well, whereas Rapid and Austria have been piss-poor.
At least Rapid won their last match beforet the winter break leaving the Violets (Austria Vienna) - spits - bottom of the league with the so-called "the red lantern" for the whole of the winter break - mwahahahahaha!

          Oh...just to explain:

Rote Laterne ( 'red lantern') - the team at the bottom of the league (this theme is also found in France, where the basement-dwellers are known as 'la lanterne rouge'; in both countries, the last carriage on a train has a red light at the back).

I am familiar with the expression as it's used in cycling stage races for the rider who is last on cumulative time.

Of course... forgot that you also follow cycling.

                  Update:

Torsten Knabel remains with the FC Wacker Tirol

Torsten Knabel extended today its contract with the FC Wacker Tirol, running out in the summer, prematurely by further two years, up to 30.06.2009.

I like the fact they have a Kindergarten team. I fear the squad might be a little unbalanced though.

                      Storm: 13 players
                      Centre zone: 3 players
                      Defense: 1 player
                      Goal keeper: 1 player

It just shows our attacking nature. Not for us putting nine players behind the ball, going for a draw at all costs. The FC Wacker Tirol is not a "small club".

                          Update:

A disappointing 2-0 away defeat to some team I've never heard of. A bad day.

Old news so apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.

Refuge brown, sporty director/conductor of the lady department, succeeded with the obligation of the 21jährigen Angelika Feldbacher from Germany a transfer coup.
