At least the gate remained clean.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

        I'll be there!
Meeting up with the lads at 5pm for a few cold beers, then into the stadium for the 1830 kick-off.
Looking forward to hearing some of the stories from the guys who are on an "Island Tour". They're presently going to football matches all over the British Isles, and managed to get tickets on the Kop last night.

        My tip:
        2-0 Rapid

Thanks to supplementing the defence with some of the Mrs cadre.

Last night was very enjoyable in the Hanappi Stadium, but not necessary for the footvall.
The West Block (Rapid's Kop) came up with some cool new 'choreography' for the Wacker game. One of the Rapid songs goes:
"Von der Donau bis zum Inn, immer wieder Rapid Wien"
(From the Danube to the river Inn, always Rapid Vienna.
At the front of the stand, there was a banner with these words on it. Then, each fan held up either a silver or blue flag to make a river-esque mosaic. A flag in the shape of a ship (replete with steam!) went from right to left all the way across the "river" while the all the home fans in the sell-out crowd sang the song. Here are some pics:

Some of the ULTRAS nutters who lead the singing and drumming:

So Rapid are now up to third, but have a really difficult match on Tuesday night against the form team Mattersburg.

                      FORZA RAPID WIEN!!!

What's the capacity? It must be at least several hundred.

                          It's bigger than the Tivoli
I think the capacity is 19,000.
For some reason they were only allowed sell 17,400 for this one, which they did.

That ship is crazy but brilliant.

If our lot had one it would have to be sinking.
