John Motson mentioned in his commentary - 'another long ball aimed at Crouch' - 'aimed at' being the operative words, England's football was one dimensional. Carrick blooped the same pass high into the spanish penalty area all night, eveybody else followed suit, it was absolutely dire. Spain only played for about 5 minutes and that was enough. I must admit as a huge fan of seeing England getting beat (especially in friendlies) - I was loving it.

Well done Steve McClaren - to be even worse than Sven takes some doing.

Spot on, personally i think Defoe's the most overrated player in England, a few good games, get a few goals and looks the part, then he goes missing for the next dozen games, nowhere near consistent enough.

Rooney and Owen will play for England next season. Rooney because he is Englands best option and Owen because he is Umbro's golden boy.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I could have said, because he is Englands best option together with Rooney if he is fit.

England only have two World class strikers, Rooney and Owen. He is also Umbro's golden boy and they will put pressure on SM to pick him as soon as possible.

They have a remarkably similar posting style, yes. Be fair though, neither speak English as their first language. They do better than I could if the roles were reversed.

                      Where's Glock from?

Rumours persist that "Glock" is from Asia, yet more recently, certain references in his posts and sudden Interest in Steve Staunton, have led people to believe he's a mad Irishman, who feigns ignorance in the English language.

His first trip to Anfield is the Barca Home game. I want to meet him!

Make no bones about it though, he's a mentalist.

He's crazy. To borrow a phrase, he "ploughed into me like a tighthead forward" once when I dared suggest he was wrong to call Sissoko an attacking midfielder. I think his reply began "you're ****ing clueless you ****ing stupid prick". Oh how I laughed.
