Reina v. Casillas

I was watching the match last night and saw Iker Casillas in goal for Spain... There is absolutely NO WAY he is better than Pepe Reina. The guy is slow as fcuk, his reaction time is equal to mine when I drink 6 or 7 beers + he shouts like a girl...

Why is he Spain's no.1 goalkeeper is beyond me (okay, he probably is because he plays for Galactico and that's so cool).

It's the same ****e as Carrick bollocks. I can't understand he is an England international (then again I don't know why Lampshade gets called up). Why everyone presume that players are much, much better if they play for a "big team"?

Theo Walcott would never make it to the World Cup if he played for Southampton, but since he played those 3.2 minutes for Arsenal, he deserved a place in expence of Defoe and other strikers.

I think you're very wrong. Casillas is a fantastic keeper, probably one of the top three keepers in the world.

Carrick is overrated and all of Arsenal's English first teamers went to the World Cup, which may or may not be to do with David Dein being on the board of the FA....

I would agree - Casillas is one of the best in the world.

Carrick is ****e and Walcott - what a joke that selection was.

It is all about who you know and who you play for - Barton should have started last nights game IMO.

I think Casillas is good - but not great. For me he doesn't command his box like most good keepers do. He's not in Buffon's league, who I believe is great.

Well I do recall you saying it, aye, but there are plenty of other I folk I know who agree.

I'd agree that Casillas doesn't perhaps command his box quite as well as Pepe.

Casillas is a great shot stopper and has fantastic reflexes, he's possibly the best in the world in those respects, but to me he doesn't command his box and is a serial flapper. How old is he now too? Because he still looks like a kid to me, he isn't imposing in the way most of the great keepers are/were.
