They're a big club. They're not a 'massive' club, akin to the likes of us, Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona and the mancs.
So now we're debating the difference between a "massive club" and a "big club", are we?

Bollocks, Syd, what a waste of time.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        There's a difference Neil.

Not altogether fussed if you recognise one or not, mind.

          Yes...and what's your point?`

The mancs are probably the 2nd biggest club in the world, behind Madrid.

Is there, is there really? OK, as you wish.

No, I don't suppose you do which is fair enough.

Well, not that it's probably worth it, but Arsenal are a big club, without doubt.

Would you, however, put them alongside Real Madrid? I wouldnt.

              Therein lies the difference, IMO.

              But each to their own

                Mis-read your post Syd.
Yes the Mancs are a massive club, not as big as us because we've won more trophies and ultimately thats what it comes down to.

I personally think it's a tad romantic to suggest that we're a bigger club than them. It's not JUST about trophies won. All things considered, they're clearly the biggest club in Britain.

How much that matters however, is another story.

As i always say to mancs..."you carry on selling the most shirts in asia and having a big stadium...and we'll carry on winning more trophies. Everyone's happy"

F*ck the big stadiums and the selling of scum jerseys in Asia, we got the trophies and the most passionate fans in the world(especially on a European Night). It's quality, not quantity that counts.

Besides Utd may have more supporters worldwide but my guess is there's not alot in it between Mancs and Liverpool fans in terms of numbers.

Who gives a **** about being "big" or "the biggest"? It's all I ever hear Mancs blathering on about..."ooh we're so ****ing big, you're jealous of us and you'll never be as big as us, and it HURTS YOU!". Get to **** you deluded c*nts.

As far as I'm aware, you don't get any prizes for being 'big'. I always thought football was about winning games, and consequently trophies.

                        Not selling loads of shirts.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

As much as you say 'f*ck it', i'm afraid revenues, merchandising, worldwide fanbase etc DO have a big part to play in who the biggest clubs are.

Dismiss it as you wish, but just because you say "f*ck it", doesnt mean it stops being an hugely important factor.

They're bigger than us. We win more than them. I'm happy enough with that personally.

That's exactly the point i make to them mate.

I'm not saying it matters much. But whether it matters or not, they're a 'bigger' club than us. As i say though, i'm not fussed about that, i'm more concerned with trophies.
