      He was considered to be a star for Newcastle United, but never make it. Now he plays somewhere in Wales (think he plays for Cardiff City, but I could be wrong).
      currently top scorer in the championship i think, he may still make it.

                    the dutch lad - van der vaart, looked like and was hyped up to be a superstar,think he is at werder bremen now - a good player but no where near as good as the hype

                                David James, Rob Jones, Dominic Matteo (new Hansen anyone?), El Hadji Diouf, Salif Diao, Bruno Cheyrou, Anthony Le T, Sinama Pongelle, Igor Biscan was touted the next big thing of Croatia before burying his future with us, Michael Thomas, Neil Ruddock, Phil Babb, John Scales.... just to name a few.
