Couldn't agree more, The Channel Five Cup, I fukkin hated that jibe being thrown at me, and would hate it even more should we find ourselves "dumped" in it, or worse having only qualified for it.

You & me both fella, but I don't think he is the answer to being the main striker we need, he would have to be at the expense of one of our current ones, prob Bellamy as they would be competing for the same position I presume.

I made my mind up about him a while ago and for now I'm sticking to it. He has done much better over here than I expected, admittedly, but he's not done enough for me to change my mind - yet.

What I am certain of is he is not a Rafa striker. He picks and chooses when he becomes interested in a game, is seriously erratic, doesn't do much for the team and is terrible for getting caught offside (mind you so is Bellamy).

I don't think Rafa would ever go for him.

When did the UEFA Cup become such a mickey mouse competition? Yet you see teams that have gone all the way like Sevilla, CSKA Moscow and even Celtic revere it and take it really seriously.


Heaven forbid but if we did ever play in it again I would want us to just blood the youngsters and not bother playing any first teamers at all.

There are two strikers in the premiership that we could realistically sign who imo are better than what we already have and one of them is Martins. The other is Berbatov.
