I'm not even sure that England will beat Andorra.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I feel sorry for those poor ****ers who went all the way to Dublin to watch a **** Irish team beat a ****ter Welsh team in Slattery's pub on Capel Street followed by watching an even ****ter England side in Fitzsimon's in Temple Bar. Poor *******s...

Surely that should be "England ARE overrated"? Why refer to a team using a singular term?

I can't remember the last time and England manager was so woefully under-qualified. His CV is pure wank. Although there wasn't much else in terms of English options, I don't know why they didn't just get another foreigner in now the precedent's been set. Curbishley isn't pulling up any trees at West Ham and dodgy fat Sam was about the only other alternative...wonder if we'd be doing any better with Scolari?

When will the press start another campaign to get him dropped, I can't wait to hear him whinging about being treated unfairly again.

Watching the English fans and media build up to an international game has become - in recent memory - a completely bizarre experience.

Now I'm paraphrasing here but Einstein said something along the lines of - to do something the same way, over and over again, each time expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.

Here's a cliche that applies; mediocrity breeds mediocrity. The FA, and the people who make the decisions regarding the footballing operations are mediocre, they hired a mediocre manager who by and large selects mediocre players - largely through no fault of his own it should be said. But of course England can't be mediocre because they won a world cup and most of their players play in "the best league in the world".

It's time the English fans and media stopped lying to themselves, but the cold light of day is too hard I suspect. They need to believe in England being great to fill whatever void they have in their pathetic little lives.

I've heard a rumour that Andorra will be playing a weakened side in their next match. It's England.

England's best creative talents are clearly Gerrard and Rooney. Yet Rooney is constantly average for England as opposed to often average occasionally sublime for Man Utd, and Gerrard is marginalised to make room for Lampard. Ludicrous. McClaren thinks it's just a matter of finishing, well he's wrong. England don't make clear chances because they don't use their few technically gifted players properly. Same as it has been for a long time.

I dont think Rooney is one to lead the line, and I dont particularly think Gerrard is a second striker, but in the absence of any decent strikers in the England squad perhaps the best thing would be to play Rooney on his own up front with Gerrard in behind him.

It is time for Lampard to be dropped, but to be honest I'd rather see him continuing to play for England. The reasons for this are two-fold: a) I enjoy seeing all the criticism that is directed his way for his consistently inept performances b) I live in the hope that he will suffer an injury while playing for England.
