      Wenger will pleased that he's gone.

      He, more than any other manager sussed out the way to play Arsenal.

      I still hate him.

      I don't think the geordies will like him either. They like attacking, passing football. He does not.

            Implies to me that they have a successor already organised, probably some one at the club. It will give them a chance to assess what the want to do with the squad and if it is Sammy Lee or Speed then it gives them so pressure free experience of PL management.
