Poll mostly just seems to do the overemphasised chat and the odd random card flourish. Personality was maybe the wrong word, but you definitely see him attention seeking. He is far less of a problem than say Uriah Rennie.

Although I suppose Collena who used to be a fabulous ref was probably guilty of a lot of those flaws. He was just bloody good, so you forgave him. And he had skeletors eyes.

Cheers, I see what you mean.

Collina was amazingly good. Even when TV replays showed he'd made a mistake you could see why.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

There was talk of it. Didn't his endorsement deal with Opel/Vauxhall scupper it though? Certainly that's why he suddenly retired from Serie A.

Think that was only in Italy cause Milan were sponsored by Opel and that would be conflicting. So he fecked off cause he was getting more more for doing the ads

Great Ref was at the Liverpool V Chelski match the other week

Yes, he is very good and I thought controlled the game really well without getting the cards out unnecessarily. I couldn't understand why people slated him next day.

I think he is refering to Collina being in the stands.

I thought he retired from refereeing in Serie A because there is a retirement age of 45, which he had passed.

He was going to be allowed to ref another year but then his sponsorship deal was a conflict of interest with AC Milan, so he stopped.

Collina had a shocker in the Everton Champs League qualifier, was right to go when he did.
