Have you seen Anderson, his ****ing rapid! I can't believe it, he was one of my favourite players. I now hate the ****.

I havent to be honest but is he going to adapt?Alves will be the signing of the summer for whoever gets him and hopefully its us.Best playmaker around and the guy is a right back

Unproven yes, but they are proven creativity... it is about nurtering them.. can you think of anyone better than Fergy at making playing into winners? I am upset at this seriously...

However, thinking about Mascherano and Lucas are top signings too.. except we don't need players in CM we need them in the positions Fergy has bought in.

I agree we need creativity but both theses guys are unproven yet.

The problem in not taking a gamble is that if you let someone else in the premiership take the 'gamble' on unproven players, and they succeed, then you can never afford to buy them.

Berbatov is an example of this. At 10million he is a good buy, but 1 good year in the premiership where he has proved himself, and he is now being quoted at £30million.

You need to take some cacluated punts on players. We cant afford to have punts. We need results now, which is a shame as we cant really go for these players

Errm who cares how much they paid? Who cares? They are Champions and have been so 9 out of the last 13 years!! They keep signing top players, even if they cost slightly more...

I'd rather pay top money even if its slightly more on a few players than spend milions on squad players. I am sick of us signing middle of the range players.

United won the league, they have already added 3 players and now turn their sights to Torres - we have to first catch them and then beat them... REMEMBER THAT.

They are excellent players. Either would have strengthened our starting 11. BOTH would have transformed our team. I'm gutted. I guarantee that there is nothing but excitment in manchester over these two being signed. Meanwhile we're arguing over workhorses that some of us are deluded into thinking that they will solve our problems. Lack of creativity, pace and flair!

Yes, I agree the extra few million to get a target really doesn't make that much difference considering the drop in the quality of player you then get instead. Wanting to know the fee paid doesn't necessarily connote anything contrary to that though. Knowing the fees paid by others gives you an idea of the current climate of the transfer market and what kind of spending power your rivals have amongst other things. I'll be interested to see how much they paid.

Manchester United have agreed "in principle" deals to sign Anderson from FC Porto and Nani from Sporting Lisbon.

The Premiership champions are set to make 19-year-old Brazilian Anderson and 20-year-old Portuguese winger Nani their first signings of the summer.

"Terms are agreed with both players and an announcement will take place once a medical and other procedures are done," said a statement on United's website.

Hmmmmmm, is this a good thing, united buying players not top of our list (allegedly)...I know Nani was mentioned, but not a strong link.

It has been rumored that DIC want to buy ManU.

I wouldn't be surprised if they will do that and ManU are already spending money from DIC.

They buy the players now and buy the club later. It would take to long time to buy the club now so they would miss out on their top targets if DIC tried to buy the club before they signed the players they want.
