is there anybody out there who seriously believes that this tosser is the right man for England?

Does anybody think he actually knows what he's doing?

Does anybody even have a decent word to say about the bloke?

So do people want England to qualify for the Euro's in 2008 - and Maclaren to lead us there?

No. I thought he might be okay but he has been a bumbling idiot in the job. The things he has done well elsewhere have not appeared in the England squad and he has been obsessed with the way things will be seen. He was actually my third (realistic) choice for the job (Big Sam and Scolari being the first two).

He showed limited promise at 'Boro and certainly tried hard to get the right tactics for different games. However he has been shjown up on anything like the big occasion and what I had hoped would be a useful transitional time in charge in whcih at least the squad got used to having different systems for different circumstances has become a mess as he refuses to concentrate on the basics and hasn't attempted to alter the personality/reputation led way the team has been run in the past.

I want us to qualify as it makes tournaments more fun when we do. I would like him to have a disgraced exit - i.e. and affair or offensive comments to the press type jobby - so that I don't have to hope he does well personally.

Some Jorno was on Sky Sports news this morning talking about the England team for tonight.

Carra is going to play RB and Ledley King CB. The jorno was going nuts saying why is he going to play Englands best cb last season right back?

he is also going with a midfield of Cole, Lampard, Gerrard and Beckham the last time England played that was in the world cup against T&T and we were gash.

And last but by no means least he is dropping Peter Crouch yes the man who has scored god knows how many goals for England and he is going to replace him with Alan ****ing Smith.

I will be seriously ****ed off if the only home nation team at that tournament are the Scots.

I'm going to have to start checking the sporting diary for next year to see what other events are on at the same time - I'll even resort to watching Wimbledon if I have to.

I genuinely believe he's genuinely clueless. He's making Eriksson look like Bob Paisley.

I detest him and I will be cheering for Brazil tonight. I hope Estonia make mugs of us and I hope England don't qualify for Euro 2008. Never thought I'd hear myself say that but it's true. I normally want them to win without being overly fussed, but now I actively hate them - and it's mainly due to McClaren and, before him, Sven. Totally agree I find myself supporting Spain these days. Under the likes of Robson or Venables you always thought we had a chance not with this joker he's a clown, couldn't pick his nose.
