oh you mean that lad that went to the world cup with england and lit it up, and has been doing so all through qualifying as well as the prem, justifying his hype, selection, and price tag?

arsenal are selling henry coz this kid is the new henry, sky sports (home of jamie redknapp of redknapp publishing) told me so

Arsenal create an inordinate amount of clear-cut chances. Lots of one-on-ones. They normally miss them, too. Even Henry, as great as he is, can be quite profligate in front of goal. Owen would thrive there (if fit) - he's a fantastic one-on-one finisher.
I'm sure he bagged a hattrick in there, so take that out and it's 13 games 4 goals. Ooooh!!
He'd still miss loads at Arsenal.

Doesn't matter one jot though. In 14 games, he's scored 7 goals, end of story. It's almost as if you're criticising him for scoring a hat-trick.

All strikers miss chances and Owen is no different, but given the amount of chances Arsenal create, he would score a truckload.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Owen has scored a pathetic 40 club goals in the last 4 years.

                Says it all.

He missed 18 months+ because of injury in the last two years

He was Reals best striker when he played, better than Ronaldo. He had the best goals/game in La Liga, that means better than anyone in La Liga.

So 40 goals in two and half seasons and one of that seasons he didn't play that much. That is excellent stats.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

But missing 1.5 seasons in 4 is pretty crap stats really. Thats 3 games out 8 he didn't play.

I agree with that but both injuries was down to bad luck, not that he is injury prone. It would have been different if he had been out time after time with hamstring problems.

We will see next season how fit he is. No one really know that.

I don't want him. The reason is that he would be a to big risk because of his latest two injuries and there is better strikers out there.

He will score goals, I don't think anyone doubts that but I wouldn't touch him until he has proved his fitness. A medical won't give us that answer. Only when he is back playing every week for at least six months then we will know if he is fit enough IMO.

                              You're completely missing the point.

He WILL NOT score goals if he doesn't play. That's the point AF. No-one knows how many games he has left in his career
