    Owen to Arsenal

    Just heard from a close friend that Mickey Owen is set to join Arsenal. No idea about transfer fee or wages.

    This is a trusted source. I've never posted a rumour before but I think I'll stick my neck out on this one. Note this is football rumours. He's told me others before but as this doesn't involve our club I'm sticking this one on.

    I could tell you the source, but why bother, it will sound ridiculous to most so lets leave it at that. Lets just say it involved a round of golf.

    Anyways I'm of on the beers to watch the under 21s, laters.

      I can't see it happening. I think he will stay another year at the barcodes, then possibly move on. His ol England buddy has been whispering sweet nothings in his ear again.

                        owen will score goals wherever he goes, i think your right though, will maybe be in jan or next summer.. would not be against him coming back here i must admit even if he is a mercenary little ****.. at nine million and still a few years left he does represent value in the current market (so long as the wee **** is not warming the bench,,,, dont think rafa likes him mind you and i often wonder if reports are true about steve g talking to rafa about resigning him
