This is the third match for Brazil I've watched and Alves is not making an ounce of impression... I've also seen him for Sevilla a few times and again, he's OK... I know its stupid to rate a player based on watching 8-9 matches total, but I'm only watching him and I'm neither impressed with his pace nor his ability to beat people off he dribble. I don't see him as worth the £18 million or whatever if we paid £20 million for Torres! Alves just doesn't impress me all that much.
