mmmm, my thoughts were along the lines of....what if Henry doesnt like it/play well...back to the Premiership methinks, wonder which team he would choose eh?
mmmm....ha ha im tempted to say Roll on next summer!!

You gotta think that Barca will sell one of the forwards now though. Ronnie to AC maybe? Or how about to us? What bigger impression could G&H make.
    Just a pipedream..................

This should kick off the transfer merry-go-round. Things will start to get going now - or not if we've got no money...

Ronaldinho, Etoo, Messi and Henry, now that would be worth watching.

Carra would kick them up the arse.

Anyway, Madrid will move for Kaka, Ronaldhino will be off to Milan.

So that's Darren Bent, with a good scoring record at 23, no injury problems and blistering pace, and Thierry Henry, 29 and a patchy injury record who's shown signs of losing his pace. Both players rely on pace and one is losing his. I'd say 16 million is anything but cheap for a player in decline, pushing 30and who'll think he's bigger than the club.

I think messi is a miserable, arrogant young prick.
                Sign him up!!!!!

So if u had the choice of Liverpools new number 9, would u take Bent ahead Henry ?

It is a big loss for the Premiership and the punters who go watch week in week out. Henry is a world class player and now we have to watch the Prem without him in it.
I don't think Ars will be able to replace him now. That means we will battle the Chavs for 2nd spot now.

I agree. Henry is on the downward slope and Wenger knows this. I'm delighted we didn't go anywhere near him.

Hopefully, this Torres stuff is rubbish too.

Henry has graced the premiership for years and has had a one major injury during that time and he is now passed it - Bollocks !

I'd take Henry over everyone that has so far been mentioned - Proven in England and only 29 - £16m is a snip - He would be the difference between 3rd and 1st.

I would have loved watching him at Anfield net season - Worth the price every week
I make no apologies, this is me

knowing wenger, he will probably unearth some kid for 1/2 million somewhere who will run riot in the prem

He has been a magnificent player, no argument. But he's on the wane now - don't look at what a player's done in the past, look at what they can do in the future.

That's one minefield avoided, hopefully we can now skirt the Torres one.
